Our Antelope Canyon Tour has far fewer crowds compared to the Upper Antelope Canyon, where there are long lines and large crowds. Lower Antelope Lower Canyon has all the beauty of the upper Antelope Canyon and has even more unique views  and stunning scenery when experienced with our guides, unique hike and leisurely kayak. This exhilarating 4-hour journey starts from the Antelope Point Public launch ramp. Our experienced guides will lead you on an extraordinary tour, seamlessly blending hiking and kayaking to explore the captivating Antelope Canyon. Brace yourself for an unforgettable experience as we glide beneath the towering walls of this magical canyon, allowing its awe-inspiring beauty to envelop you.

 

Our adventure begins with the use of kayaks launching from Antelope Point Public Launch Ramp, this offers a distinctive vantage point to immerse yourself in the lower and northernmost reaches of Antelope Canyon. By navigating its depths on a kayak, you'll have the remarkable opportunity to witness the grandeur of this natural wonder up close. This particular section of the canyon, submerged beneath the waters of Lake Powell, unveils a hidden world just waiting to be explored.

Time permitting your guide may offer a swimming and cliff diving adventure near the end of the tour!

Scheduled Tour Times:

  •  8:30am - 12:30pm  Arizona Time

  • 10:30am - 2:30pm  Arizona Time

  •    1:30pm - 5:30pm  Arizona Time

  • All times are stated as Arizona Time, which is the same as Pacific Time unless you are visiting from early November to mid March.

  • Tour Duration ranges between 4 and 4.5 hours

 

Meeting Location:

  • We’ll meet in the parking area at the Antelope Canyon Public Launch Ramp. Direction will be in your confirmation email.

 

Expected Distance Paddled and Requirements:

  • The Antelope Slot Canyon Hike usually takes an 1 hour round trip (depending on water level of the lake) and is approximately a total distance of 1 mile (1.6km). The terrain on the hike is a mixture of rock and sand and is very flat. There will be ample opportunities to rest and take photos.

  • The paddling is typically 5 miles (10km), but it depends on the water level of the lake.

  • Wavy conditions can happen on the 2nd half of this tour.

  • This tour is suitable for those with all levels of physical fitness.

  • It is required that participants have enough upper body strength to re-enter a capsized kayak with assistance from the tour guide, this is especially important in the spring when the water is cold. The route is along steep canyon walls so getting out of the water on shore is usually very difficult.

 

Details:

  • All experience levels from beginner to advanced will have a great time on our trips.

  • Double kayaks will be used on all trips

  • Sit-on-top kayaks are used for this tour.

  • Paddleboards are permitted on the morning tour only and at the guide's discretion. 

  • Your feet will get wet, sandy, and possibly muddy on this tour. There is some muck at the end of the canyon where you get out of the kayaks. Wear shoes or sport sandals you can get wet.

  • From June-October, tours include time for a swim.

  • During July through mid-September, the possibility of flash floods exists. If morning rain is in the forecast, which is generally very uncommon, the hiking portion of the tour may be shortened by the guide for safety reasons.

  • There are simple bathroom facilities at the parking lot. Dry Bags available for rent upon availability.

  • Tour includes all kayak equipment and dry bags to store valuables. 

  • Are you a solo paddler? You may join an existing tour!

  • All vehicles entering the Glen Canyon are subject to a $30 entrance fee. National Park Annual Passes are accepted. Please visit the National Park Service’s website for more information.

In this 2.5 hour Tour our expert guides will lead you on a journey that will take your breath away, as you explore the massive stunning Red Rock Cliffs and natural beauty of Antelope Canyon from the water. Get ready to paddle through serene coves and under winding cliff walls, with amazing views at every turn.

You'll be kayaking under the massive cliffs of Antelope Canyon and gliding on mirror like water. You will have opportunities to stop and learn about the canyon and all its history, while taking in the mountain is Navajo Sandstone cliffs. 

Our tours are designed to be fun and adventurous, with something for everyone. Whether you're an experienced kayaker or a first-time paddler, our guides will make sure you have the time of your life. With our kayak tours, you'll get up close and personal with the natural wonders of Lake Powell and Antelope Canyon, from hidden coves to majestic wildlife. Our guides are experts in the local area and on the water, and they love sharing their knowledge with our guests. You'll learn about the history, geology, and ecology of the Canyon and Lake as you paddle, making your tour both educational and exciting.

With time permitting your guide may stop off for a swimming and cliff diving adventure near the end of the tour.

The route is along steep canyon walls so getting out of the water on shore is usually very difficult.
